Scaffolding We understand that the scaffold on your contract is likely to be the most visible aspect of the works being carried out. We strive to take pride in not only the efficient service provided with quality materials but also to leave you with scaffold that is visually pleasing with symmetry. A well-built scaffold is not only the best advert for us but also for you.
Our ability to react quickly to changing on-site requirements has helped us to retain a lot of repeat business from customers who have been left frustrated waiting for other scaffold companies just to turn up to site whether to erect, alter or remove. Once you give us a job, you are always pencilled in for an unexpected call and we can be on site usually within a couple of hours. This mitigates the need for you to be thinking about your access requirements days or even weeks in advance.
Many times we have been told that our rates are comparable to other scaffold companies who just simply don`t have the necessary resources available to offer what they have priced for and end up letting the customer down. Many scaffold companies rely on a bigger scaffold company to hire them their scaffold materials. If they cannot pay the hire firm, the scaffold materials on your site could be removed by the owner without giving you any notice or recompense or you could end up paying twice. Other scaffold companies also use sub-contact labour or agency scaffolders who have no knowledge of the scaffolding company or the site their working on and do not even know if they will be back on the site the next day. All our staff are pay as you earn “cards in” and many have worked for us for a number of years.
Many scaffolding companies use “target gangs” – that is paid on the measure for what is erected or dismantled. The advantage being that it motivates scaffolders to erect or dismantle as much as possible. The disadvantages are that the quality is usually comprised and any deviance from the expected schedule can lead to claims and counter claims for extra money. All our staff are paid on a day rate and take pride in affording a professional service.
Just because a scaffolder has a CISRS card does not necessarily mean he is a competent scaffolder. A part 2 scaffolding card can be obtained in less than year but it takes many years to gain the necessary experience required to be classed as a competent scaffolder. Many site agents are happy to see the card and just assume that the men know what they are doing. Our management team is fully aware of the capabilities (and limitations) of all our staff and we don’t use agency scaffolders or target gangs.
If you have not used scaffolding before or you are looking for a budget price for an upcoming project, give us a call and we can talk you through the whole process.
In order to give you a firm price we would need to take look at your property but we can usually give you a fair estimate over the phone or on-line.
